Boku No Hero Academia (My Hero Academia)

 

What would the world be like if 80 percent of the population manifested superpowers called “Quirks”? Heroes and villains would be battling it out everywhere! Being a hero would mean learning to use your power, but where would you go to study? The Hero Academy of course! But what would you do if you where one of the 20 percent who were born Quirkless? 

 

 

 

Boku no Hero Academia, also known by the English title My Hero Academia, is written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi. The manga has been serialised in weekly shonen jump since 7 July 2014, there are currently twenty two (22) volumes. The manga is being adapted into an anime television series by Bones. Season 4 has been announced.

 

 

Shonen Jump- Manga

The manga has been translated by Caleb Cook and published by Viz Media.

The Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia) manga follows Izuku Midoriya as he reaches for his dream, to be a hero. Bnha falls under the genres Adventure, Fantasy and Superhero.

Volume 1 introduces the world, as well as the characters, some of so being Katsuki Bakugou, All Might and of course the protagonist, Midoriya.

Studio Bones- Anime

The Bnha manga has been adapted into an anime by Bones, Crunchyroll is translating the anime to subtitles along with Funimation dubbing the first three seasons.

 

The first season aired in Japan from April 3 to June 26, 2016. The first season is introducing the world and the characters as well as the motivations and struggles of the protagonist Midoriya. With the end introducing and playing out the Unforeseen Simulation Joint Arc (USJ Arc).

 

The second season aired in Japan from April 1 to September 30, 2017. The second season is when the popular U.A. Sports Festival Arc occurs.

 

The third season aired in Japan from April 7 to September 29, 2018. The second season is when the Hideout Raid Arc occurs.

 

Season 4 has been announced and is in the making, the air date in Japan is set for October 2019. From the teaser it seems it’ll be mostly about the Internship Arc.

 

 

My Hero Academia: Two Heroes

Animated film My Hero Academia: Two Heroes released in Japan August 3, 2018. The movie had been released in cinema in the United States and Canada from September 25 to October 2, 2018. It came out as Blu Ray and DVD February 13, 2019.

 

 

 

Boku No Hero Academia- Games

The first game was developed and produced by Bandai Namco Entertainment, My Hero Academia: Battle For All. It was announced in November 2015 for 3DS and released in Japan May 19, 2016.

The second game, My Hero: One’s Justice, was developed by Byking and produced Bandai Namco Entertainment. It released on October 26, 2018. Playable on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox1, and Microsoft Windows.

Midoriya is also an available character in the crossover game Jump Force.
